Where did Jehovah go ?

for the many years i was mentally " in " the congregation, i equated the organisation as interchangeable with the persona of jehovah, in effect whatever the organisation said or thought, that was what jehovah thought and that was what jehovah said.... it was that simple.

so when i found out the ttatt and the cynical moves of the organisation over the years,including 1975 , the donation arrangements, the united nations, etc i was devastated and thought " where's jehovah in all of this?".

the god who i'd poured my heart out to on many occasions and who i thought was silently listening and hearing my pleas ..... was not there , .

In a way I am grateful that I have been raised as a Witness. Finally (after 35 years) seeing through all the JW nonsense freed me of all faith based & religious superstitions. Getting rid of JW beliefs = getting rid of Jehovah/God for me.

Had I been raised in a less cult-like religion, I might have believed the tales until I died, even if I ever rejected the group.

I'm quite sure Jehovah is nowhere to be found. If he, or any other god who cares, is to be found anywhere, they're too good at hide-and-seek. Or they don't care. I imitate God by not caring either.

JW anti-gay children movie viral in Netherlands national media + official reaction of JW spokesman Branch office

various dutch (netherlands) media mentioned the anti-gay children movie on jw.org,.

and gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual organizations are shocked, and some gay people.

are reporting the movie to the local police.. the official spokesman of the dutch branch office in emmen declared that the movie is.

Michel van Hilten, spokesman for JW, is not bothered by the negative reactions to the video. "We feel it is within our freedom of speech to post these videos." But he wants to emphasize he has no intention to insult or offend people with this children's animation. "I don't think the video is cause for that."
According to Van Hilten the target audience for the video is 'primary children of Jehovah's Witnesses'. "And other people who are interested. We haven't posted the video on YouTube on purpose: it's better suited on our site, and people should watch it there."
Moreover he says that videos posted on the site, are never intended to be pedantic, (en)forcing or directing[?]. COC Nederland [LBGT rights association] requests JW Netherlandsto remove the video. Only if the 'outrage is justified', the Jehovah's will decide to take the video offline.

Spokesman for JW NL Michel van Hilten doen't understand the criticism. 'I can't imagine people take offense to this video. We just want to tell our children that different principles exist in society.'
According to Van Hilten, children don't need to convince their class mates of the ideas of JW. 'We have a complete different intention with this video. We are absolutely not homophobic. Defenitely not.'

Just a random thought: could it be that the dubs ignore decency and rules wrt convention placing as it is the only time a year they can safely rebel against Watchtower without getting summoned into the back room?

How else could elders possibly measure your spiritul health? I mean...really talking with dubs as if they are human beings is not precise enough, too much work, and too hard to summarize for the CO.

Digital placings (ie showing a video, mailing a link to JW.org) are counted on the field service report now too (but not reported to HQ)

Yeah, but not nearly as much. Mostly videos, tracts, stuff they had lying around in stock, and some WT/Awake. The latter two have been reduced from 32 pages to 16, and only 1 issue per month (instead of 2)...

New Anti Gay Cartoon Video not available in German

the lesson 22 video or better called anti gay video went viral.. there is another thread that main dutch media covered it in their articles.. i wanted to write to one of the biggest swiss newspapers about it.

that newspaper also covered the controversy about the "meeting" cartoon, where the message is made that if jw children don't listen at the meetings they might get killed finally.. then i realized that it is not available in german.. it is available in so many other languages, like guarani (never heard of that language), but german is missing.. are they afraid to offer it in german?

do they expect too much controversy in germany?.

So Witnesses who are farmers are not allowed to use blood as a fertilizer for their crops, but Witnesses working in SABM are allowed to 'advance blood management'? 'Managing blood' is something different from not using blood at all...

Regardless of WT Society involvement, shouldn't every Witness working for SABM DFed?
